Final Thoughts

Is Battle Styles Worth it?

TL;DR: There are a few nice alt-arts to collect for everyone but this is a must for Urshifu fans!

Battle Styles is kind of a mixed one — I’d only recommend it if you’re into the Urshifu cards or really like the idea of collecting alternate arts. This was the first set to introduce alt art Pokémon, which makes it historically important, and the single strike / rapid strike theme gives it a unique identity. The downside is that outside of those standout alt arts (like the sleeping Tyranitar V and Urshifu VMAX), the set can feel pretty underwhelming to open, with lots of filler rares and trainers that don’t stand out much for collectors.

If you’re after history and a couple of really cool chase cards, Battle Styles has a place in a Sword & Shield binder — but if you want nonstop excitement from every pack, you might be happier chasing singles.
