Final Thoughts

Is Shining Fates Worth it?

TL;DR: 100% yes — Shining Fates is one of the most fun Sword & Shield sets to open!

The chase is the Shiny Charizard VMAX (no surprise), but the real appeal is the Shiny Vault, a big lineup of shiny Pokémon like Suicune, Dragapult, and lots of smaller fan favorites that keep packs exciting.

Throw in strong full-art trainers like Skyla and Piers, and you get a set that feels packed with variety and surprises. It’s not the biggest set around, but if you enjoy pulling shiny cards and want a shot at one of the most popular Charizards, Shining Fates is absolutely worth ripping.
