What are the Pull Rates?
Temporal Forces introduced ACE SPECs, which makes packs feel more rewarding, but the chase cards are still pretty tough to land.
Pull rates here are very similar to the rest of 2024’s sets: Double Rares about 1 in 6 packs, Ultra Rares 1 in 15, Illustration Rares 1 in 13, Special Illustration Rares 1 in 86, and Hyper Rares 1 in 139.
ACE SPECs are the twist — showing up around 1 in 20 packs and sometimes alongside other hits, which can make opening these packs feel exciting.
That said, the big chase cards—like Special Illustration Rare Waking Wake ex—are harder to pull than in earlier Scarlet & Violet sets. With only 10 SIRs in the set, your odds at a specific one are still painfully low, around 1 in 855 packs. So, while ACE SPECs make Temporal Forces fun to rip, collectors should expect the same story as the rest of 2024: solid mid-tier pulls, but rare cards that really live up to the word rare.
Is Temporal Forces Worth it?
TL;DR: A nice, easy YES!
Temporal Forces feels big and exciting — you’ve got Paradox Pokémon like Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, some really slick Tera ex cards, and the return of ACE SPECs, which look awesome in that magenta holo style. The artwork variety is strong too, with tons of illustration rares, special illustration rares, and gold cards that really make a binder pop.
It’s the kind of set where almost every pack has something interesting, whether it’s a cool Paradox legendary or one of the flashy new ACE SPECs. Collectors online have been pretty positive, saying it’s just a fun set to rip because the hits feel rewarding. If you like bold artwork, legendary Pokémon, and a nice mix of nostalgic and new mechanics, Temporal Forces is an easy yes.
