What are the Pull Rates?
Paldean Fates is all about shiny Pokémon—hits come often, but finishing the set will feel impossible.
Like Hidden Fates and Shining Fates before it, this set is packed with alternate-colored Pokémon. While it only lists 91 cards, there are 154 Secret Rares, most of them shiny versions. The result? You’ll see pulls constantly: Shiny Rares show up 1 in 4 packs, Shiny Ultra Rares 1 in 13, Illustration Rares 1 in 14, Double Rares 1 in 6, and Ultra Rares 1 in 15. The big prizes—Special Illustration Rares (1 in 58 packs) and Hyper Rares (1 in 62)—are still rare, but the shiny gimmick means packs almost never feel empty.
The catch is numbers. With over 130 different shiny Pokémon, your odds of pulling the exact one you want are slim. Even with generous pull rates, it’s nearly impossible to collect them all just by ripping packs. Still, if you love shiny hunting, Paldean Fates delivers steady excitement and plenty of sparkle.
Is Paldean Fates Worth it?
TL;DR: Yes, absolutely — if you’re in it for the shiny Pokémon, nostalgic vibes, and eye-catching art, this set delivers in spades!
f you’re a collector who lights up at seeing shiny Pokémon or wants cards that grip you the moment you open them, Paldean Fates is absolutely worthwhile.
It blends a nostalgic “vault of shinies” vibe with modern art touches, giving you cards that feel special even before you pull them. Just know that it's a specialty set—don’t expect full booster boxes or endless variety—but the aesthetic reward? Totally there.
