Is Silver Tempest Worth it?
TL;DR: Yes — Silver Tempest is a solid closer for the Sword & Shield era, especially if you’re into legendaries and fan-favorite Pokémon!
The headline card is the Lugia V alt art, which has quickly become one of the most iconic Lugia cards ever printed. There are also some great Trainer Gallery hits like Serena and the Rayquaza VMAX, which give the set extra variety and collectible flair.
Opening packs feels good here because the Trainer Gallery boosts the odds of pulling something interesting, even if you miss on the big Lugia chase. The set also features Alolan Vulpix as a mascot, which adds a bit of charm.
The only downside is that outside of Lugia and a couple of top Trainer Gallery cards, the rest of the set doesn’t hit quite as hard as Evolving Skies or Lost Origin. Still, if you’re a Lugia fan or just want a well-rounded set with nice art and fun pulls, Silver Tempest is definitely worth a few packs.
