Card List
S W O R D & S H I E L D
The Pokémon GO set brings the mobile game to the TCG — with Mewtwo VSTAR, and even Professor Willow’s debut card. Did you know? If you pull a Numel or Bidoof, take a look at the bottom of the card for a little Ditto symbol. If you get lucky it might just be a peel-off Ditto card, a playful chase that makes this set unforgettable. Is Pokémon GO Worth it?
TL;DR: Yes — but mostly if you’re a fan of the Pokémon GO game or enjoy fun, gimmicky sets!
This set is basically a love letter to the mobile game, with cards of PokéStops, Lures, and Professor Willow mixed in with big hitters like Mewtwo VSTAR and the shiny-style Radiant Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur. The coolest part is definitely the Ditto peel-off card — it’s one of the most creative gimmicks the TCG has ever done.
That said, the set is pretty small, so you’ll start seeing repeats fast, and outside of Mewtwo and the Radiants there aren’t many huge chases. Still, if you’ve got good memories of Pokémon GO or just want something lighthearted and different, cracking a few packs is a blast.
