What are the Pull Rates?
Journey Together feels kinder than Surging Sparks or Prismatic Evolutions, with slightly better pull rates and a smaller set that makes collecting easier.
Illustration Rares show up about 1 in 12 packs (better than Surging Sparks’ 1 in 13), and Double Rares land in 1 in 5 packs instead of 1 in 6. Special Illustration Rares are still tough at about 1 in 86 packs, but since there are only six total SIRs in the set, your chances at a specific one—like Lillie’s Clefairy ex—are almost double compared to Surging Sparks. Hyper Rares sit at about 1 in 137 packs.
With only 190 cards total, Journey Together feels far less overwhelming than the 250+ card sets from 2024. There are no ACE SPECs here, so the overall “hit rate” per pack drops a little, but if you’re mainly chasing Secret Rares, your odds are actually a touch better than last year’s sets. All in all, Journey Together strikes a nice balance: still tough, but not heartbreakingly so.
Is Journey Together Worth it?
TL;DR: Yes — Journey Together is a must for collectors who love standout artwork and a hit of nostalgia!
It brings back the Trainer’s Pokémon mechanic in style, with cards like N’s Zoroark-ex, Iono’s Bellibolt-ex, Lillie’s Clefairy-ex, and Hop’s Zacian-ex giving the set a unique personality. The art direction is top-notch, with illustration rares, special illustration rares, and even gold-etched hyper rares that make the binder pages pop.
Reviewers have praised it as one of the strongest Scarlet & Violet releases yet, blending striking new designs with a heavy dose of nostalgia. The only downside is availability — pull rates and supply have made it harder to enjoy in bulk, but from a collector’s perspective, the card selection and artwork alone make this set a standout.
