Final Thoughts

Is Champion’s Path Worth it?

TL;DR: Champion’s Path is a bit of a mixed bag — but if you’re a Charizard fan, it’s a must!

The set is famous for having not one, but two chase cards: the shiny Charizard V and rainbow Charizard VMAX. Outside of those, the rest of the set is pretty small and can feel repetitive (lots of gym leader-themed cards and a ton of duplicates), so opening packs can get stale fast. That said, there are many amazing additions like the Gardevoir VMAX and the adorably decadent Alcremie VMAX that makes the set worth it even if you think Charizard is overrated.

I’d recommend it if you love Charizard or want a fun “lottery ticket” set — but if you’re after variety, you might be happier grabbing the Charizards as singles and moving on.
